## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT OPERATING THE AIRCRAFT FORGOT TO SELECT THE GEAR DOWN AND SUBSEQUENTLY LANDED THE AIRCRAFT ON RUNWAY 18L WITH THE GEAR UP. THE PILOT STATED A CONTRIBUTING FACTOR FOR FORGETTING TO EXTEND THE GEAR WAS THAT THE APPROACH WAS CONDUCTED OUT OF NORMAL SEQUENCE DUE TO ATC REQUEST TO KEEP HIS AIRSPEED AT 145 KTS, FOUR TO FIVE MILES OUT, DURING THE APPROACH. SINCE THE GEAR CANNOT BE EXTENDED ABOVE 140 KTS, HE DELAYED PUTTING THE GEAR DOWN AND SAID HE DID NOT REPLAY THE NORMAL LANDING SEQUENCE IN HIS MIND AS HE WAS SLOWING THE AIRPLANE DOWN JUST PRIOR TO TOUCHDOWN.
