## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON ABOVE DATE AND TIME THE PILOT OF A CIRRUS S22 ATTEMPTED TO DEPART ON RWY 30 AT KVGT. THE DESTINATION FOR THE CFR 49 PART 91 FLIGHT WAS KMYF. AN IFR FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. UPON ROTATING THE AIRCRAFT THE PILOT ENCOUNTERED A WINDSHEAR THAT CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO IMPACT THE AREA ADJACENT TO AND EAST OF RWY 30. THE AIRCRAFT CONTACTED A RUNWAY LIGHT CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE FUSELAGE UNDERSIDE. ADDTIONALLY, BOTH WING TIPS CONTACTED THE GROUND RESULTING IN SCRAPE DAMAGE AND DEBONDING. NO INJURY OCCURED TO THE PILOT WHO WAS THE SOLE OCCUPANT. NOTE; PILOT DID OBTAIN WEATHER FOR DEPARTURE AND DESTINATION AIRPORTS. HOWEVER, PILOT STATED THAT HE DID NOT HEAR THE GUST SPREAD PORTION OF HIS TAKEOFF CLEARANCE ISSUE BY KVG TOWER. HE FURTHER STATED THAT HAD HE HEARD THE GUST SPREAD WINDS, HE WOULD HAVE ABORTED THE TAKEOFF. PILOT WAS EXTREAMLY COOPERATIVE AND INDICATED THAT HE WOULD CONTACT A FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR FOR ADDITIONAL TRAINING IN WINDY CONDITIONS. AIRMAN WAS COUNCILED ON THE IMPORTANCE OF LISTENING TO ALL TRANSMISSIONS FROM ATC AND READING THEM BACK TO INSURE FULL UNDERSTANDING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
