AFTER CONTACTING THE FUEL TRUCK WITH THE RIGHT WING TIP, THE AIRCRAFT SPUN RIGHT, HITTING THE LEADING EDGE OF THE RIGHT WING ON THE FUEL TRUCK BEFORE COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP. THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED TO THE SOLE OCCUPANT. DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT INCLUDES THE RIGHT WING TIP AND LIGHT ASSEMBLY, RIGHT WING LEADING EDGE, AND REAR CARRY THROUGH.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR11CA084](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR11CA084), Dec 8, 2010: Piper PA-28-181 (N418PA), Phoenix, AZ, substantial damage. Probable cause: The student pilot's failure to maintain clearance from obstacles while taxiing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
