## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT DEPARTED KMSP AT 1715 LOCAL TIME FROM RUNWAY 30L. THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO KMSP A SHORT TIME LATER BECAUSE OF, AS DESCRIBED BY THE PILOT, A PRESSURIZATION PROBLEM. AFTER LANDING, THE PILOT REQUESTED TO STOP THE AIRCRAFT FOR A INSPECTION. IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE MAIN ENTRY DOOR HAD COME OFF THE AIRCRAFT. THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED DURING FLIGHT BETWEEN TAKEOFF AND LANDING. THE DOOR FELL OPEN AND BROKE AWAY FROM THE FUSLAGE OF THE AIRCRAFT. THERE WAS NOT AN EXPLOSIVE DECOMPRESSION OF THE AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN11LA120](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN11LA120), Dec 10, 2010: Beech 300 (N206K), Minneapolis, MN, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to follow the aircraft checklist in locking the cabin door prior to departure which resulted in its in-flight separation.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
