## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON OUTBOUND TRIP FROM TEXAS TO PANAMA AT CRUISE LEVEL 410 THE PIC NOTICED THAT THE LEFT WINDSHIELD WAS STARTING TO DELAMINATE AND IT WAS SPREADING. AS A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE SHE DECIDED TO LOWER THE AIRCRAFT ALTITUDE TO 260 .ONCE THE ALTITUDE WAS LOWERED THE LEFT WINDSHIELD DEFOG ANNUNICATOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND SHE RESPONDED BY PULLING THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS FOR THE LEFT WINDSHIELD HEAT. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED IN PANAMA AND THE LEFT WINDSHIELD DEFOG SYSTEM WAS CHECKED OUT AND VERIFIED TO BE INOP BY A MECHANIC. THE OPERATOR DECIDED TO FLY THE AIRCRAFT BACK TO THE BOMBARDIER FACILIY AT FLL TO TROUBLESHOOT THE SYSTEM. MAINTENANCE PERSONEL DETERMINED THAT THE WINDSHIELD DEFOG BOX ASSY WAS DEFECTIVE AND BOTH THE LEFT WINDSHIELD AND WINDSHIELD DEFOG BOX ASSY WAS REPLACED. OPS AND LEAK CHECK WAS PERFORMED SATISFACTORY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
