## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

MENZIMER HAD CHECKED THE WEATHER BEFORE DEPARTING FOR A SHORT FLIGHT THAT WOULD DEPART AND LAND AT HARVEY FIELD IN SNOHOMISH, WASHINGTON. JUST AFTER TOUCHING DOWN IN A WHEEL LANDING THE AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED A CHANGE OF WIND DIRECTION PERPENDICULAR TO THE RUNWAY THAT WAS CHANNELED BETWEEN TWO T HANGARS. THE AIRCRAFT TURNED LEFT AND DEPARTED THE RUNWAY ACROSS THE GRASS FIELD. THE PILOT WAS UNABLE TO OVERCOME THE WIND WITH THE RUDDER AND STRUCK A NOISE ABATEMENT SIGN BEFORE COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP.

Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
