## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PRIVATE PILOT LOST OIL PRESSURE AND DECIDED TO MAKE A PRECAUTIONARY OFF AIRPORT LANDING. A REVIEW OF THE LANDING AREA SHOWED THE MOUNTAIN WAS SNOW COVERED BUT THE PILOT COULD SEE WEEDS STICKING UP THROUGH THE SNOW AND ELECTED TO MAKE THE LANDING. UPON INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT THERE WERE NO OIL LEAKS NOTED AND THE ENGINE HAD OIL IN IT. FURTHER INSPECTION REVEALED THE OIL PRESSURE SENDING UNIT WIRE HAD FALLEN OFF THE BACK OF THE INSTRUMENT. THE WIRE WAS RECONNECTED AND A THOROUGH RUN UP PERFORMED. THE AIRCRAFT NOW HAD NORMAL OIL PRESSURE, THE PILOT SHUT DOWN AND PUT THE COWLING ON AND ELECTED TO TAKE OFF TO CONTINUE THE FLIGHT. ABOUT 60 FT INTO THE TAKE OFF ROLL THE AIRCRAFT WENT INTO SOME DEEPER SNOW AND THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER ON ITS BACK.DAMAGE WAS LIMITED TO THE PROPELLER, THE LOWER LONGERONS AND THE VERTICAL STABILIZER.
