## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JANUARY 5, 2011 AT APPROXIMATELY 14:45 CDT, N74SX, A SWEARING SX300, PILOTED BY ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, IMPACTED THE RUNWAY AT TRADEWIND AIRPORT (TDW) LOCATED IN AMARILLO, TEXAS. PILOT WAS INTENDING TO LAND ON RUNWAY 35 WHEN HE REALIZED THAT HE FAILED TO SELECT THE LANDING GEAR HANDLE TO THE DOWN POSITION. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT FLAPS, ENGINE PROPELLER AND LOWER FUSELAGE SKIN. THE PILOT AND PASSENGER WERE UNINJURED AND WERE ABLE TO EXTRICATE THEMSELVES FROM THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
