## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

A REMOS AIRCRAFT WITH TWO ON BOARD WAS PERFORMING A TEST FLIGHT AFTER MAINTENANCE. DURING ALL GROUND CHECKS EVERYTHING SEEMED NORMAL. THE AIRCRAFT APPEARED TO HAVE SOME CENTERING ISSUES, BUT UNRELATED. UPON TOUCHDOWN THE PILOT APPROACHED WITH MAIN WHEEL TOUCHDOWN, NO FLAPS AND PEDALS CENTERED. THE AIRCRAFT ELEVATOR AUTHORITY ERODED AND ALLOWED THE NOSE TO TOUCH DOWN & WITH THAT FELT AN IMMEDIATE PULLING TO THE LEFT, THE PIC RECALLS SEEING DISLODGED DEBRIS, THE PROPELLER TIPS THEN STRIKING THE GROUND AND HEARD GRINDING NOISES. THE AIRCRAFT DRIFTED TO THE LEFT AND CAME TO REST ON THE LEFT SIDE OF RUNWAY 4. THE EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN PROCEDURES WERE PERFORMED AND THE CREW EXITED THE AIRCRAFT. FURTHER INSPECTION INDICATED THAT THE NOSE GEAR FORK & WHEEL ASSEMBLY DEPARTED FROM THE AIRCRAFT. THE PROPELLER WAS DELAMINATED IN WHICH WILL REQUIRE FURTHER INSTRUCTION AND OTHER SMALL AREAS OF DAMAGE WERE IDENTIFIED FROM THE STRIKE. WHEN MAINTENACE ARRIVED AND COMPLETED AN INITIAL INSPECTION THEY STATED THAT THE NOSE WHEEL ASSEMBLY MAY HAVE BEEN INCORRECTLY INSTALLED, BUT THIS ASSUMPTION WAS NOT YET CONFIRMED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS REMOVED FROM THE RUNWAY AND MOVED TO A NEARBY HANGAR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
