## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT STATED THAT HE WAS DOING THE ILS TO RUNWAY 13 AT KRDG. WEATHER WAS IFR WITH HALF A MILE VISIBILITY IN SNOW (AND CONFIRMED BY KRDG ASOS). THE PILOT STATED THAT THERE WAS DRY SNOW ON THE RUNWAY. THE RUNWAY WAS PLOWED APPROXIMATEY 50 FEET WIDE WITH DEEPER SNOW TO ABOUT 100 FEET WIDE. PILOT STATED THAT THE APPROACH (WITH 3 GREEN LIGHTS)AND LANDING WAS NORMAL AND THE NOSE GEAR WAS OPERATING NORMALLY ON LANDING TOUCH DOWN. IMMEDIATELY AFTER TOUCHDOWN THE NOSEWHEEL COLLAPSED BECAUSE AIRCRAFT LANDED OFF CENTER, WHICH WAS OBSCURED, IN DEEPER SNOW. AIRCRAFT REMAINED ON THE RUNWAY AND WAS TOWED OFF BACK TO THE HANGAR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
