## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JANUARY 25, 2001, THE FLIGHT CREW OF AIRCRAFT DEPARTED WESTOVER AIR-RESERVE BASE (KCEF) EN-ROUTE TO BRADFORD REGIONAL AIRPORT (KBFD) IN BRADFORD, PENNSYLVANIA AS FLIGHT WAL 825. AT APPROXIMATELY 2100Z, WHILE CLIMBING AFTER DEPARTURE, THE FLIGHT DECK CREW NOTICIED SMOKE IN THE COCKPIT. AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED, AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES WERE INITIATED AS PER THE QUICK REFERENCE HANDBOOK (QRH) AND THE AIRCRAFT DIVERTED TO THE NEARWEST SUITALBE AIRPORT IN ALBANY, NEW YORK (KALB). AIRCRAFT LANDED AND TAXIED TO THE RAMP WITHOUT INCIDENT. THIRTY FIVE PASSENGERS AND CREW DISEMBARKED THE AIRCRAFT WITHOUT INJURY. AN EMERGENCY EVACUATION WAS NOT ORDERED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
