## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT OF THE ZODIAC MADE SEVERAL RADIO TRANSMISSIONS PRIOR TO AND WHILE IN THE LOCAL TRAFFIC PATTERN FOR RUNWAY 36 AT SOUTHEAST IOWA REGIONAL AIRPORT IN BURLINGTON, IOWA (KBRL). HE WAS COMMUNICATING WITH OTHER AIRCRAFT THROUGHOUT THE EVENT. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON RUNWAY 36, AND AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE LANDING ROLLOUT AND JUST PRIOR TO EXITING THE RUNWAY, HE WAS STRUCK FROM BEHIND BY N602CB ON ITS LANDING ROLLOUT. THE AIRCRAFT HAD ONE PASSENGER ON BOARD AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED. THE AIRCRAFT HAD SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE TAIL SECTION WHILE N602CB HAD MINOR DAMAGE TO THE PROPELLER AND COWL AREA.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN11LA168](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN11LA168), Jan 29, 2011: Ertz Mark G Zodiac 601XL (N200BE), Burlington, IA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The Model 1 pilot's inadequate visual lookout and subsequent failure to see and avoid the Zodiac.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
