## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JANUARY 30, 2011, A BOMBARDIER MODEL CL-600 AIRCRAFT OPERATING FOR MESA AIRLINES CERT. (MASA) DEPARTED CHICAGO O'HARE (ORD) FLIGHT NUMBER 7195 TO SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS AIRPORT (SAT). UPON ARRIVAL AND DURING PREPARING TO DEPLANE PAX, THE GROUND HANDLER CONNECTING THE EXTERNAL APU UNIT EXPERIENCED ARCING BETWEEN THE RECEPTACLE AND THE JET-WAY POWER CORD. THE ARCING CAUSED FLAMES AND SMOKE. THE FIRE WAS CONTAINED AND EXTINGUISHED BY THE GROUND CREW PERSONNEL. ALL PAX WERE REPORTED UNINJURED, AS THEY MADE AN URGENT EVACUATION TO THE JET-WAY. ONE GROUND CONTRACTING HANDLER RECEIVED MINOR BURNS TO HIS HAND. THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE APU CONNECTING RECEPTACLE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
