## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ACCORDING TO THE PIC, HE WAS SEQUENCED NUMBER 2 FOR LANDING BY COU ATCT AND WAS INSTRUCTED TO REPORT A 2-MILE FINAL. THE OTHER ACFT WAS AHEAD AND ON A LEFT BASE. HE BECAME PREOCCUPIED LOOKING FOR TRAFFIC TO ENSURE ADEQUATE SPACING AND DID NOT REFER TO HIS LANDING CHECKLIST. JUST PRIOR TO TOUCHING DOWN, HE REALIZED HIS LANDING GEAR WAS RETRACTED AND ADDED POWER TO EXTEND THE FLARE. HE EXTENDED THE LANDING GEAR AND COMPLETED THE LANDING; HOWEVER, THE PROPELLER BLADES AND A SECTION OF LOWER FUSELAGE CONTACTED THE RUNWAY. HE STATED THAT THE LANDING GEAR WARNING SYSTEM DID NOT SOUND.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN11IA179](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN11IA179), Feb 8, 2011: Cessna 210N (N92MP), Columbia, MO, incident, minor damage. Probable cause: The pilot did not extend the landing gear before touchdown due to his distraction during the landing approach and his not using a landing checklist.

## Other reports on N92MP (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19940212002109A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19940212002109A), Feb 12, 1994: Cessna 210 (N92MP), Brazito, MO, Substantial damage. Experienced power failure, landed on highway, right landing gear collapsed.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
