## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE B-737 AIRCRAFT (3-CEGE) IS OWNED AND OPERATED BY THE GOVERNMENT OF EQUATORIAL GUINEA. THE PILOTS HAVE ARGENTINIAN PASSPORTS AND PILOT CERTIFICATES/MEDICALS. THE AIRCRAFT WAS BEING TAXIIED IN TO THE CARGO 6 RAMP AT WASHINGTON DULLES AIRPORT (IAD) AFTER LANDING AT NIGHT. THE AIRCRAFT FOLLOWED THE TAXI LINE TO THE RAMP AND UPON REACHING THE RAMP, WERE BEING GUIDED BY A LANDMARK AVIATION TRUCK AND SUBSEQUENTLY BY A LANDMARK GROUND MARSHALLER. THERE ARE NO TAXI LINES ON THE CARGO 6 RAMP. WHILE BEING GUIDED BY THE GROUND MARSHALLER, THE LEFT WINGLET STRUCK A LIGHT POLE ALONG THE PERIMETER FENCE LINE. THE LEFT WINGLET WAS DAMAGED AND SUBSEQUENTLY REPLACED BY MAINTENANCE. THE LIGHT POLE WAS ALSO DAMAGED. THE LANDMARK AVIATION GROUND CREW WAS NOT FOLLOWING IT'S STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES OF HAVING WING WALKERS IN ADDITION TO THE MARSHALLER OFF THE NOSE OF THE AIRCRAFT. THERE WAS ONLY ONE PERSON GUIDING THE AIRCRAFT IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE PERIMETER FENCE AND LIGHT POLES. THE FLIGHT CREW WAS RELYING ON THE GUIDANCE FROM THE LANDMARK AVIATION GROUND CREW TO KEEP THEM CLEAR OF OBSTACLES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
