## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS ON RUNWAY 14 APPROACH AT MONTGOMERY COUNTY AIRPARK (GAI) WHEN HE NOTICED ICE ON HIS WINDSCREEN. HE COMPLETED A GO AROUND MANUEVER AND TRIED TO DEFROST WINDSHIELD WITH HIS DEFROSTER. PILOT CIRCLED AIRFIELD AND TRIED ANOTHER APPROACH. WINDSHIELD WAS STILL ICED-UP BUT PILOT COMMITED TO LANDING . PILOT CONDUCTED A HARD LANDING AND THE NOSE WHEEL COLLAPSED, AND AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY 14.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
