## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT WAS ON A DAY VFR FLIGHT FROM KIT CARSON COUNTY AIRPORT, BURLINGTON, CO (KITR), LANDING ON RUNWAY 35 AT GREAT BEND MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, GREAT BEND, KS (KGBD). HE STATED HE MOVED THE GEAR SELECTOR, BUT IT DID NOT GO ALL THE WAY TO THE "GEAR DOWN" DETENT, AND HE FAILED TO VERIFY THE GEAR AS DOWN PRIOR TO LANDING GEAR UP. HE DISCOVERED THE MISPLACED GEAR SELECTOR SWITCH AFTER COMING TO A STOP ON THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE AND THE PILOT AND HIS ONE PASSENGER WERE UNINJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
