## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING A 14 CFR PART 91 FLIGHT TRAINING LESSON, A STUDENT PILOT AT THE CONTROLS IN THE LEFT SEAT WITH THE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR IN THE RIGHT SEAT, WERE TAXIING TO REPOSITION FOR TAKEOFF AFTER A LANDING AT THE DUPONT LAPEER AIRPORT IN LAPEER, MICHIGAN. DURING THE TAXI, THE STUDENT REPORTED EXPERIENCING A WIND GUST, AFTER WHICH THE STUDENT APPLIED RIGHT RUDDER PEDAL AND RIGHT BRAKE, WHICH WAS EXCESSIVE AND SUBSEQUENTLY FORCED THE AIRCRAFT TO DEPART THE TAXIWAY AND STRIKE A SNOW BANK. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WINGTIP AND ONE OF THE PROPELLER BLADES. THE AIRCRAFT WAS MOVED USING A TUG INTO THE HANGAR AT THAT AIRPORT. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED TO EITHER OF THE TWO OCCUPANTS.WEATHER AT THE TIME WAS VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS WITH NO PRECIPITATION, DRY AND BARE TAXIWAY SURFACE CONDITIONS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
