## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AFTER TAKEOFF, PILOT SELECTED GEAR UP BUT FAILED TO GET A GEAR UP INDICATOR LIGHT. PILOT SELECTED GEAR DOWN BUT RMLG WOULD NOT EXTEND. AFTER WORKING PROBLEM FOR THREE HOURS, PILOT PROCEEDED TO KAUS AND INITIATED A GEAR UP LANDING. AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE. THERE WAS NO POST CRASH FIRE. PILOT/SOLE OCCUPANT WAS NOT INJURED.AFTER HOISTING AIRCRAFT, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT A CLEVIS PIN IN THE UP LOCK MECHANISM WAS MISSING. THE MISSING PIN CAUSED THE UP LOCK MECHANISM TO MALFUNCTION IN NOT ALLOWING THE RMLG TO EXTEND.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
