## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

3/22/11- APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES AFTER DEPARTURE FROM SLC THEY RECEIVED "RT HYD LOW PRESS" MESSAGE. COMPLIED WITH CHECKLIST DECIDED TO DIVERT TO LGB FOR GULFSTREAM MX. 30 MINUTES OUT OF LGB RECEIVED LEFT HYD SYSTEM FAILURE WARNING MESSAGE, CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. WHEN CREW ATTEMPTED TO ACTIVATE AUX HYD SYSTEM FOR LANDING, IT ALSO FAILED.3/24/11- WORK ORDER FROM GULFSTREAM LONG BEACH #1211-001266 ON 3/28/11. IT APPEARS THE R/H HYD SHUT OFF VALVE NEVER FULLY REOPENED AFTER THE FIRE WARNING CHECK DURING PREFLT. THIS LEAD TO CAVITATION OF THE HYD SYSTEM TO THE R/H ENGINE DRIVEN PUMP, WHICH CAUSED IT'S FAILURE. EVENTUALLY LOW PRESSURE RESULTED IN THE FAILURE OF THE LEFT HYD PUMP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
