## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

UPON LANDING, THE AIRCRAFT CAUGHT A GUST OF WIND FROM THE LEFT SIDE THAT LIFTED THE AIRCRAFT OFF THE GROUND AND DISPLACED IT TO THE RIGHT OF THE RUNWAY SURFACE. THE AIRCRAFT SUFFERED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT WING SPAR. THE ENGINES INGESTED FOD AND ALL THREE LANDING GEARS WERE DESTOYED. THE FORECAST AND REPORTED WINDS WERE WITHIN THE PILOT AND AIRCRAFT TOLERANCES. LOCAL CLIMATOLOGICAL DATA SHOWS EVIDENCE OF A COLD FRONT PASSAGE APPROXIMATELY THREE HOURS PRIOR TO THE ACCIDENT. GUSTY WINDS WERE PERSISTENT THROUGHOUT THE DAY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN11LA265](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN11LA265), Mar 24, 2011: Dassault-Breguet Falcon 10 (N303FZ), Sellersburg, IN, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain control of the airplane during landing in strong and gusty wind conditions.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
