## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE STARTING TO TAXI ONTO RUNWAY 15 FROM THE HOLD SHORT LINE AT CHARLESTON AFB/INTL (CHS) FOR TAKEOFF, THE AIRCRAFT TURNED TO THE LEFT, AND THE AIRCRAFT RAN OFF THE END OF THE RUNWAY HITTING THE RUNWAY END LIGHTS. THE PILOT STATED THAT THAT HE PRESSED THE RIGHT RUDDER AND RIGHT BRAKE WITH NO RESULT. THE PILOT ALSO STATED THAT AT THIS POINT HE PRESSED THE TOP OF BOTH RUDDER PEDALS WITH ALL HIS STRENGTH WITH NO RESULT. AT THIS POINT THE PILOT STATED THAT HE PULLED THE POWER TO IDLE AND PULLED THE PARKING BRAKE TO THE ON POSITION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
