## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

04/06/2011 13:54 PST, N9FK, BELL 47G, ON LIFT OFF IN THE NON-MOVEMENT AREA ON THE WEST SIDE OF TORRANCE AIRPORT TIPPED OVER ON RIGHT SIDE FOR UNKNOWN REASONS AT 061354 PDT. SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE AND MINOR INJURIES TO SOLE OCCUPANT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR11LA190](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR11LA190), Apr 6, 2011: Bell 47G (N9FK), Torrance, CA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot did not maintain adequate altitude during takeoff, which resulted in ground contact and a dynamic rollover.

## Other reports on N9FK (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19900504014009A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19900504014009A), May 4, 1990: Bell 47G (N9FK), Riverside, CA, Substantial damage. Student experienced dynamic rollover during low level hover practice. Apparently a skid touched during hover.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
