## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT MARCUS MEADOWS WITH ONE PASSENGER ON BOARD ATTEMPTED TO LAND AT THE TALKEETNA VILLAGE AIR STRIP. PILOT FLEW OVER THE STRIP AT 500 FEET TO PREVIEW RUNWAY CONDITIONS. UPON LANDING, AIRCRAFT SUNK INTO SOFT SNOW. AS THE MAIN WHEELS DUG IN ON ROLL OUT, AIRCRAFT FLIPPED UPSIDE DOWN. NO INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC11CA023](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC11CA023), Apr 9, 2011: Piper PA-22/20 (N8842D), Talkeetna, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's selection of a soft, slushy runway for landing, resulting in a noseover.
