## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED LANDING GEAR WAS DOWN AND HE HAD THREE GREEN LIGHTS ON, INDICATING LANDING GEAR WAS DOWN & LOCKED PRIOR TO LANDING ON RUNWAY 6 AT KMJX. AFTER NOSE WHEEL TOUCH DOWN SEVERAL SECONDS DURING ROLLOUT AN EXTREME VIBRATION CAME FROM THE NOSE LANDING GEAR AREA. THINKING HE HAD A FLAT TIRE, HE PULLED BACK ON THE YOKE BUT THE NOSE CONTINUED TO LOWER PAST LEVEL AND HE HEARD PROPELLERS STRIKING THE RUNWAY, FOLLOWED VERY QUICKLY BY THE GEAR EXTENSION ALARM. VISUAL INSPECTION OF INCIDENT AIRCRAFT REVEALED THE FOLLOWING: NOSE LANDING GEAR DAMPER AND LOWER DRAG LINKS WORN. THESE WORN COMPONENTS MAY HAVE CAUSED THE NOSE GEAR LATCH ASSEMBLY TO COME UNLATCHED DURING THE SEVER VIBRATION, ALLOWING THE NOSE GEAR TO COLLAPSE.

Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
