## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT EXPERIENCED AN UNDETERMINED LOSS OF POWER SHORTLY AFTER TAKEOFF. THE PILOT EXECUTED AN EMERGENCY LANDING IN AN ADJACENT FIELD. DURING THE LATTER PART OF THE LANDING ROLL, THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR BUCKLED AND THE AIRCRAFT NOSED OVER DUE TO THE EXTREMELY MUDDY CONDITIONS OF THE LANDING FIELD. FUEL STARVATION WAS SUSPECTED HOWEVER, THE PILOT INSISTED THAT SUFFICIENT FUEL WAS ON BOARD. INVESTIGATORS COULD NOT DETERMINE THE FUEL STATE WITH ANY CERTAINTY SINCE THE TIME ELAPSED TO ARRIVE ON SCENE MAY HAVE ALLOWED FOR ANY FUEL TO DRAIN FROM THE INVERTED FUEL TANK.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
