## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DEPARTED HOME BASE STRIP (HWY 129) WITH LOAD (400 GALLONS) SOLUTION TO BE APPLIED TO CUSTOMERS FIELD. SPRAY SYSTEM FAILED TO OPERATE. DECIDED TO LAND AT COCHRAN AIRPORT (RUNWAY), MUCH LONGER THAN BASE STRIP. MADE APPROACH AND TOUCHDOWN ON RWY 11 - AIRPLANE DRIFTED TO THE RIGHT. PILOT MADE ATTEMPTS TO CORRECT BUT RAN OUT OF RUDDER CONTROL. AIRCRAFT WENT INTO GRASS ON SOUTH SIDE OF RWY, CROSSING SMALL DRAINAGE DITCH. RIGHT MAIN GEAR SEPERATED FROM THE AIRCRAFT. AIRCRAFT SLID TO A STOP WITH GEAR, ENGINE, AND PROPELLER DAMAGE. NO INJURIES OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
