## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING CRUISE FLIGHT AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF THE ELECTRICAL CHARGING SYSTEM. THE BATTERY WAS DRAINED AND ALL ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS FAILED. EXTENSION OF THE FLAPS WAS NOT POSSIBLE, PILOT DID NOT ATTEMPT TO USE EMERGENCY HAND CRANK FOR LANDING GEAR. AIRCRAFT LANDED AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED, BOUNCED AND SETTLED TO THE RUNWAY. DAMAGE WAS CONFINED TO THE LOWER FUSELAGE, ENGINE, AND PROP.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA11CA255](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA11CA255), Apr 21, 2011: Beech F33A (N334J), Ocala, FL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's improper flare which resulted in a hard landing. Contributing to the accident was the pilot's distracted attention due to the electrical system failure.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
