## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N113CS WAS LANDING ON RUNWAY# 01 AT KTEB AFTER A FLIGHT FROM KPBI AND HAD ATIS INFORMATION "ROMEO" FOR LANDING WEATHER/WINDS. THERE WERE 4 SOULS ON BOARD FOR THIS LANDING. THE FLIGHT CREW DIVULGED LITTLE INFORMATION ABOUT THE LANDING. THEY WOULD NOT DIVULGE WHO WAS FLYING THE AIRCRAFT FOR THE LANDING. INFORMATION ROMEO SHOWED WINDS OF 31018G28 WITH A WIND SHEAR ADVISORY IN EFFECT. ALL THREE FLIGHT CREW MEMBERS WHEN ASKED AGREED THAT THE WING SCRAPE WAS NOT CAUSED BY ANY MAINTENANCE MANFUNCTION AND FURTHER STATED THAT THE AIRCRAFT DID NOT SIGNAL A WIND SHEAR WARNING. ON 4/22/11, THE DAY FOLLOWING THE ON SITE INTERVIEW THE CREW PROVIDED STATEMENTS VIA FAX AND EMAIL THAT PILOT IN COMMAND GOGGINS WAS IN THE RIGHT SEAT AS THE "PILOT MONITORING" AND THE PILOT FLYING WAS JEFFREY POYNTON IN THE LEFT SEAT. MR. GOGGINS STATED THAT "THERE WAS A STRONG, GUSTY CROSSWIND WITH AIRSPEED FLUCTUATIONS OF -5 - TO +15. OVER THE RUNWAY THE WIND AND TURBULENCE CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO ROLL LEFT AND RIGHT, AND DURING THE LANDING THE AIRCRAFT ROLLED SHARPLY LEFT. DESPITE OPPOSITE AILERON, THE WINGTIP STRUCK THE RUNWAY".

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA11CA280](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA11CA280), Apr 21, 2011: Bombardier BD700 1A10 (N113CS), Teterboro, NJ, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's loss of aircraft control during landing in gusty wind conditions.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
