## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED THAT HE TAXIED ONTO RUNWAY 14 AT DTS. HE ALIGNED THE AIRCRAFT WITH THE RUNWAY CENTERLINE AND BEGAN HIS TAKEOFF ROLL WITH THE NOSE WHEEL STEERING OFF. THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN AN IMMEDIATE UNCOMMANDED TURN TO THE LEFT. PILOT SLOWED AIRCRAFT WHICH CAME TO A STOP WITH THE NOSE WHEEL AND LEFT MAIN GEAR IN THE SANDY GRAVEL OFF THE EDGE OF THE RUNWAY. COMPANY MECHANIC PERFORMED A VISUAL INSPECTION OF LANDING GEAR AND COMPONENTS AND FOUND NO DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
