## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT/OWNER HAD SOLD THE AIRCRAFT AND WAS CONDUCTING A FAMILIARIZATION FLIGHT WITH FERRY PILOT. AFTER TAKEOFF, FLYING PILOT HEARD LOUD NOISE OF UNDETERMINED ORIGIN AND DECIDED TO RETURN TO FIELD FOR LANDING. WHILE ON DOWNWIND TO LANDING ON RUNWAY 27 AT SCD, FERRY PILOT DISTRACTED FLYING PILOT WITH OPERATIONAL QUESTIONS. FLYING PILOT FORGOT TO LOWER THE GEAR ON FINAL APPROACH AND LANDED WITH GEAR UP. DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT LIMITED TO BENT PROPELLER AS WELL AS SCRATCHED AND DENTED BELLY SKIN .

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
