## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ELEVATOR CONTROL JAMMED DURING 4TH APPROACH TO LANDING AT E80 (BELEN, NM). PIC ELECTED TO PROCEED TO ABQ FOR LONGER RUNWAY AND ASSISTANCE IF NEEDED. LEVEL FLIGHT MAINTAINED BY USING AVAILABLE TRIM (AILERON REFLEX). ON LANDING AT ABQ, POSITIVE PITCH ATTITUDE COULD NOT BE MAINTAINED, RESULTING IN BOUNCED LANDING, SUBSEQUENT HARD LANDING. LEFT LANDING GEAR AND RIGHT WING TIP SHEARED OFF AND AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST 100 YARDS TO RIGHT OF RUNWAY CENTERLINE. AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE. NO INJURIES TO PILOT OR PASSENGER

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
