## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT LOST ALL ENGINE POWER AT 11,000 FEET MSL WHILE CLIMBING DURING SKYDIVING OPERATIONS. TWO SKYDIVERS IMMEDIATELY EXITED THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT THEN TURNED TOWARDS THE DESIGNATED PARACHUTE LANDING AREA AND ALL REMAINING JUMPERS EXITED THE AIRCRAFT AT 9,000 FEET MSL. NO JUMPERS WERE INJURED. THE AIRCRAFT THEN TURNED NORTH, ENTERED A LEFT HAND PATTERN FOR ROMEO STATE AIRPORT (D98) RUNWAY 18. THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN APPROXIMATELY HALF WAY DOWN THE RUNWAY AND WAS UNABLE TO STOP. THE AIRCRAFT EXITED THE END OF THE RUNWAY AND JUMPED A DEEP DITCH INTO A FARM FIELD. THE AIRCRAFT'S MAIN LANDING GEAR STRUCK THE OPPOSITE DITCH EMBANKMENT AND COLLAPSED AFT. THE ONLY DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS A CRACKED LANDING GEAR TUBE AND FAIRING AND THE FAILED ENGINE. THE AIRCRAFT HAD 550 POUNDS OF FUEL REMAINING. INSPECTION OF THE ENGINE SHOWED A FAILED POWER TURBINE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
