## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 5/14/2011 AT 1523 CDT, A CESSNA 172, N512ND OPERATED BY THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH DAKOTA AND FLOWN BY ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL UPON LANDING AT GRAND FORKS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. THE STUDENT AND FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR WERE PRACTICING TAKEOFFS AND LANDINGS. THE AIRCRAFT LEFT THE RUNWAY SURFACE (35R) APPROX. 2000 FT. FROM THE APPROACH END. WIND REPORTED AT 040 DEGRESS AT 18 GUSTS 25. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT OR INJURIES TO THE OCCUPANTS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
