## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED AT LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ. PILOT WAS CRUSING AT 8000 FEET AND BEGAN A STEEP DECENT TO 5000 AND THE ENGINE STARTED SPUTTERING. THE PILOT REQUESTED AND WAS GRANTED CLEARANCE TO SIERRA SKY PARK. THE ENGINE BEGAN TO RUN NORMALLY AFTER THE AIRCRAFT WAS LEVELED OFF. THE FUEL FILTER WAS CHECKED ON THE GROUND AND FOUND CLEAN AND UNOBSTRUCTED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS FUELED AND STARTED NORMALLY. THE PILOT CONTINUED THE FLIGHT TO WASHINGTON STATE WITH NO FURTHER PROBLEMS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
