## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT LANDED AND TAIL STAYED UP. SLIGHT CROSS WIND CAUGHT TAIL AND CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO GROUND LOOP. RIGHT MAIN GEAR BENT, WHICH ALLOWED THE AIRCRAFT TO FLIP OVER. DAMAGE TO WING CAUSED BY REPLICA GUN ON TOP OF WING. RUDDER AND PROPELLER ALSO DAMAGED. NO INJURIES. PILOT REPORTED NO MECHANICAL ISSUE WITH AIRCRAFT PRIOR TO THE ACCIDENT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR11CA247](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR11CA247), Jun 4, 2011: Sieber Paul P Nieuport 11 (N118PS), Bellingham, WA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control during landing rollout.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
