## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING IN A FIELD JUST OFF ROUTE 9 IN RHIENBECK NY AT APROX 1400 ON JUNE 5,2011. HE STATED HIS AIRCRAFT STARTED RUNNING ROUGH APPOX 20 MINS INTO HIS FLIGHT BACK TO LEWIS LANDING ,MIDDLETOWN NY. FROM COLUMBIA COUNTY NY. HE FELT HE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE KINGSTON AIRPORT ,AND DECIDED TO LAND IN THE FIELD. HE MADE AND UNEVENTFUL LANDING WITH THE ENGINE SHUTTING DOWN JUST PRIOR TO LANDING. NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT ,AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
