## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING APPROACH TO LAND RWY 24 AT AIRFIELD 62PA, PILOT STALLED AIRCRAFT OVER TURF RUNWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 10 FEET ABOVE GROUND LEVEL. AIRCRAFT LANDED HARD AND THE NOSE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED. AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER AND CAME TO REST INVERTED ON THE RUNWAY CENTERLINE. NO INJURIES SUSTAINED BY SOLE OCCUPANT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA11CA366](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA11CA366), Jun 18, 2011: Champion 7FC (N7583E), Wellsville, PA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain adequate airspeed on final approach which resulted in an aerodynamic stall.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
