## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT LANDED THE AIRCRAFT ON A DOWNHILL SLOPING RUNWAY WITH A TAILWIND. PILOT TOUCHDOWN POINT WAS PAST THE WINDSOCK WITH MINIMAL RUNWAY LENGTH REMAINING. PILOT WAS UNABLE TO STOP THE AIRCRAFT BEFORE STRIKING A PARKED TRAILER, CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA11CA372](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA11CA372), Jun 18, 2011: Aeronca 7AC (N3068E), Carbondale, PA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's inadequate recovery from a bounced landing, which resulted in a runway overrun. Contributing to the accident was that the pilot did not attain the proper landing point.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
