## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS TAXIING TO RUNWAY 22 AT WARRENTON AIR PARK WHEN THE LEFT MAIN GEAR BROKE OFF OF THE ARCRAFT. AIRPLANE CAME TO REST ON ITS BELLY. MAJOR DAMAGE DONE TO LEFT HORIZONTAL STABILIZER AND LEFT ELEVATOR. THIS IS A SKYDIVING OPERATION. NO ONE WAS INJURIED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA11LA357](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA11LA357), Jun 23, 2011: Cessna 182F (N3152U), Warrenton, VA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The fatigue failure of the left main landing gear due to inadequate maintenance inspection that did not detect and correct corrosion pitting.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
