AT ABOUT 0800 LOCAL N38N, CESSNA DUKE A-60, LANDED AND PROCEDED TAXWAY L AND THE TOWER HAD JUST OPENED AND REPORTED HIS POSITION WAS ON TAXIWAY CHARLIE, WHEN IN FACT HE WAS ON LIMA. HE WAS INSTRUCTED BY THE TOWER TO GO TO POINT NINER WHICH WAS GROUND. ## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA11LA361](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA11LA361), Jun 26, 2011: Beech A60 (N38N), Pompano Beach, FL, minor damage. Probable cause: The pilots of both airplanes did not maintain adequate visual lookout during taxi, which resulted in an on-ground collision.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
