## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR11CA308](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR11CA308), Jul 2, 2011: Piper PA-18 (N23TT), Enumclaw, WA, destroyed. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain an adequate airspeed during an encounter with a mountain wave and downdraft landing.

## Other reports on N23TT (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19860824075599A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19860824075599A), Aug 24, 1986: Piper PA18 (N23TT), Kent, WA, Substantial damage. The aircraft ground looped on landing rollout. The pilot reported that his shoes interferred with brake operation.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong.
