## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 7-2-11 PILOT WAS APPROACHING TO LAND ON RUNWAY 14 AT RAPID CITY, SD. AIRCRAFT WAS SEQUENCED AHEAD OF AN INBOUND REGIONAL JET AND THE PILOT SAID HE WAS TOO FAST TO EXTEND THE GEAR. HE SAID HE BROUGHT THE POWER BACK, PUT DOWN FLAPS AND WAS ATTEMPTING TO GET THE SPEED BELOW GEAR EXTENSION SPEED. THE GEAR WARNING HORN WAS WORKING BUT THE PILOT FAILED TO PUT THE GEAR DOWN BEFORE TOUCHDOWN. THE PILOT AND PASSENGER WERE NOT INJURED AND THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE BELLY, PROP AND GEAR DOORS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
