## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ TOOK OFF FROM A SMALL FIELD IN THIS EXPERIMENTAL AIRCRAFT FOR A BRIEF TEST FLIGHT. WHILE FLYING A SMALL RECTANGULAR COURSE HE ADJUSTED THE THROTTLE BACK AND FORTH CHECKING THE OPERATION OF IT. HIS AIRSPEED DECREASED DURING THIS MANUEVER. AFTER PUTTING THROTTLE BACK IN, A SLIGHT CLIMB WAS BEGUN. AIRCRAFT WAS FLYING SLOW AND STALLED AND FELL ABOUT 100 FEET IN A TURNING MOTION STRIKING THE GROUND WITH THE NOSE OF THE AIRCRAFT. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS INJURED IN THE CRASH. WITNESSES AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT HELPED REMOVE HIM FROM THE ACCIDENT AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR11LA324](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR11LA324), Jul 4, 2011: M Squared Sprint 1000 (N648MA), Heise, ID, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain adequate airspeed while maneuvering, which resulted in an aerodynamic stall. Contributing to the accident was the pilot's lack of experience in the accident airplane…

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
