## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRCRAFT WAS FOUND ON RUNWAY 13 AT BEDFORD, INDIANA RESTING ON THE BELLY APPROXIMATELY 30 FEET TO THE LEFT OF THE CENTERLINE. PROP STRIKES WERE FOUND 64 INCHES LEFT OF THE CENTERLINE 370 FEET PRIOR TO THE AIRCRAFT LOCATION.THE PILOT STATED THAT HE WAS PRACTICING ACCURACY LANDINGS ON RUNWAY 13 AND ON HIS THIRD LANDING HE ADDED POWER TO REACH A TOUCHDOWN POINT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE FIXED DISTANCE MARKING. THE PILOT SAID THAT THE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED WHEN HE WAS BEGINNING TO TAKEOFF AGAIN. HE SAID THAT THE NOSE SHOOK AND THEN DROPPED. THERE WERE NO SIGNATURES OF A GEAR COLLAPSE FOUND ON THE RUNWAY OR ON THE AIRCRAFT PRIOR TO IT BEING CLEARED FROM THE RUNWAY. EXAMINATION OF THE AIRCRAFT BY AN FAA AIRWORTHINESS INSPECTOR DID NOT REVEAL DAMAGE CONSISTANT WITH A GEAR COLLAPSE NOR WERE ANY DEFECTS NOTED IN THE LANDING GEAR MECHANISM THAT WOULD HAVE CAUSED THE LANDING GEAR TO COLLAPSE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
