## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AFTER A FLIGHT FROM CAPE GIRARDEAU (KCGI), MISSOURI, TO COLUMBIA (COU), MISSOURI, THE PILOT COULD NOT GET A LANDING GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED INDICATION. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO EXTEND THE LANDING GEAR AND OBTAINING A POSITIVE OBSERVATION FROM THE TOWER, THE PILOT ELECTED TO LAND ON RUNWAY 20. UPON TOUCHDOWN, THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED, CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT HORIZONTAL STABILIZER.

Probable cause: The collapse of the right main landing gear during landing due to a lack of component lubrication, which resulted in the failure of the landing gear to lock once extended.
