## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING CFI/STUDENT TRAINING, WHILE PERFORMING HOVERING AUTOROTATIONS, THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN WITH ENOUGH ROTATIONAL TORQUE TO CAUSE MINIMAL SKIN DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. NOTHING UNUSUAL WAS NOTED BY THE FLIGHT CREW SO INSTRUCTION CONTINUED FOR ANOTHER 30 MINUTES BEFORE TERMINSTING THE FLIGHT. A PRE-FLIGHT INSPECTION COMPLETED THE FOLLOWING MORNING WAS THE FIRST INDICATION OF DAMAGE. SKIN DAMAGE WAS LIMITED TO THE 4 O'CLOCK POSITION ON THE TAIL BOOM AND THE 7 O'CLOCK POSITION ON THE FUSELAUGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
