## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING CLIMB OUT OF 16000 FEET, A LARGE AMP SPLIT WAS NOTICE. THE LEFT AMP GAUGE READ 25 AMPS AND THE RIGHT GAUGE READ 225 AMPS. ALSO, NOTED AT THE TIME, THE LEFT BUS TIE CIRCUIT BREAKER WAS POPPED. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO KMIA FROM WHERE (KMIA) IT TOOK OFF. AFTER TROUBLESHOOTING, THE MECHANICS FOUND A DEFECTIVE LEFT BUS TIE CIRCUIT BREAKER AND LEFT GENERATOR FIELD CIRCUIT BREAKER. THEY BOTH WERE REPLACED AND TESTED GOOD IN ACCORDANCE WITH AMM 24-50-00-001.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
