## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRMAN WAS CONDUCTING AERIAL APPLICATION OF FUNGICIDE ON A CORNFIELD. HE WAS COMPLETING HIS FINAL TRIM PASS, FLYING NORTH, WHEN HE STRUCK AND CUT THREE EAST WEST RUNNING ELECTRICAL WIRES, WHILE FLYING UNDER THE OTHER TWO THAT RAN ALONG THE NORTHERN PERIMETER OF THIS FIELD. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO THE PROP AND AILERON, AS WELL AS THE SPRAY RIG. THE AIRMAN RETURNED TO THE NEARBY MARSHALLTOWN AIRPORT AND EXECUTED A LANDING WITH A FLAT TIRE AND NO BRAKES. THE AIRCRAFT REMAINED ON THE RUNWAY UNTIL IT WAS TOWED OFF. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITH PART OF THE ELECTRICAL WIRE ATTACHED TO IT THAT WAS LATER REMOVED FROM THE AIRFRAME.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
