## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON AUGUST 6, 2011, AT 1015 EDT, A ENCOUPE (1946 ENGINEERING & RESEARCH) N99726, REGISTERED TO ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ DEPARTED WILLISTON, AIRPORT ON RUNWAY 5, AIRCRAFT CLIMBED TO 800 FEET AND THE ENGINE QUIT. THE PILOT STATED HE IMMEDIATELY NOTED THE FUEL SHUT OFF VALVE WAS ON, AND THE MAG SWITCH WAS ON. HE LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT IN A LARGE PASTURE. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND NO INJURIES TO THE PILOT AND PASSENGER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
